Experience the Magnificent Migration
At the 18th Annual

Spring Wing Ding

All on one day - Saturday, March 1, 2008

Location – Clay County Fairgrounds, West Johnson Street, Clay Center, NE 

Free Family Activities: 11:00A.M. – 5:00P.M.

Kids crafts – painting, mobiles
Bird feeder building
Educational activities
Scavenger Hunt
Bus tour of local wetlands – leaves the fairground at 3:30pm

FLYWAY CAFÉ  at Noon

Barbecue- including hamburgers, brats, and hot dogs.
 Cost - $5.00 adult      $2.50 children          

Raptor Recovery will arrive at 1pm

Boy & Girl Scout Birding Merit Badge Workshop

Cub Scout & Brownie Awards

11am to 5pm     Registration required   Additional fee applies

WETLANDS BUFFET - 5:00 P.M.

Clay County Exhibit Building, Clay County Fairgrounds
$12.50 per person      

Tickets at Cornerstone Bank (Clay Center) or First Bank & Trust (Clay Center)

Speaker:  Dick Turpin

From the 10/11 feature "Turpin Time".  He reflects on a variety of outdoor topics including hunting, fishing, parks, nature viewing, flora-fauna profiles, wildlife/habitat management projects, special events, tips and occasional fables with imbedded points on outdoor safety and ethics. Dick is a life-long veteran of outdoor pursuits and is a recent retiree of the Game and Parks Commission. His professional background with the Commission includes safety/education coordination and years of performance as a conservation officer
